The time has finally come to hear what Dodge’s new-generation Charger sounds like with, ahem, authentic engine noise. The all-electric 2024–2025 Charger Daytonas can make a racket, thanks to their “Fratzonic exhaust,” but it’s ultimately a synthetic creation, not the result of fuel mixing with air and making vroom-vroom. But for those yearning for Mopar’s muscle machine to produce real noise, the time is nigh—the 2025 Charger Sixpack models are coming soon. And now we have a taste of what they’ll sound like thanks to bystander video of a commercial filming session in downtown Detroit featuring a six-cylinder, two-door Charger Sixpack sliding around and singing its song.

We also believe that the red Charger Sixpack seen here has the High-Output 550-hp version of the Hurricane I-6 since, well, why shoot the commercial with the Standard Output Hurricane and its mere 420 hp? Every Charger Sixpack, at least at first, will come with all-wheel drive. Clearly, that won’t be much of a hindrance to tail-out powerslides, because the Charger Sixpack in the video above pulls off an effortless low-speed drift while accelerating into its turn.
